Join us for a teaching session from Dr. Drew Thompson followed by a time of Q&A with Dr. Jeffrey Arthurs. Dr. Thompson will be teaching a group in person at the Jacksonville campus, and Dr. Arthurs will lead a watchparty and the Q&A from the Hamilton campus. Attendance at both locations is free.
Enhance your toolkit for winsomely teaching or preaching portions of the Scripture that seem challenging in today’s culture, while still remaining faithful to God’s truth. Cost is free, but you are asked to register in advance.
About the Speakers
Dr. Drew Thompson is the pastor and one of the the planters of Union City Church in Brunswick, Georgia. He is ordained in the CCCC denomination and heads their Committee on Church Multiplication. He received a doctorate from the London School of Theology, and is also a proud graduate of Gordon-Conwell (MDiv and ThM) and the University of Georgia. Dr. Thompson authored How to Preach the Prophets (Fontes Press), and he remains passionate about equipping ministry leaders as faithful stewards of Christ’s Kingdom.
Dr. Jeffrey Arthurs was raised in western Pennsylvania in a nominally Christian home and came to saving faith in Christ when he was fourteen years old. He soon became deeply involved in the life of the church, receiving a call to preach at age sixteen. To this day his passion is preaching, and he uses his wide-ranging experience as a teacher, pastor, missionary, director, announcer, and consultant to equip others for more effective proclamation of the Word. His books reflect his love of preaching and communication: Preaching with Variety, Preaching as Reminding, and Preaching Narrative.
