Biography:
Dr. Drew Thompson has one foot planted in the church, and the other in the classroom. He is the pastor and one of the planters of Union City Church in Brunswick, Georgia, a multiracial congregation that practices gospel-based racial reconciliation. He is ordained in the CCCC denomination and heads their Committee on Church Multiplication. His pastoral interests include church planting, multiracial ministry, and the deep connection between the gospel and social justice.

He received a doctorate from the London School of Theology, and is also a proud graduate of Gordon-Conwell (MDiv and ThM) and the University of Georgia. He joined Gordon-Conwell Seminary as an adjunct professor in 2021. Dr. Thompson loves to help people develop their preaching gifts in the service of Christ’s kingdom. His academic interests include hermeneutics for homiletics and preaching from the Old Testament Prophets.

He has lived in Brunswick with his wife, Mandy, for over twenty years. They have twin daughters, Ava and Eva.
