Biography:
Dr. Cynthia Fisher is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselor with over twenty-five years of experience counseling individuals, families, and marriages. She is the Clinical Director and founder of Quadra Counseling Associates, and she specializes in marriage enrichment, blended families, affair recovery, and individual therapy for clients who have anxiety and depression. She works with women experiencing intimate partner violence and counsels both men and women in emotionally abusive relationships to develop confidence and emotionally healthy boundaries.

Dr. Fisher’s background in trauma training focuses on counselor competencies and working with survivors of intimate partner violence. She has conducted research on working with counselors-in-training in Ukraine during the outbreak of war, and has co-authored book chapters for helping church leaders minister to abuse victims. Dr. Fisher has presented overseas on safeguarding in the church, and compassion fatigue prevention for those in the ministry. Her research on counselor experiences working with those impacted by intimate partner violence highlights the co-collaboration of counselors and pastors working together to help survivors of abuse in the church.

Dr. Fisher has taught Master of Counseling students and supervised therapists working toward their state licensure. She obtained her master’s degree in counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and her PhD in Counselor Education & Supervision from Regent University.
