Biography:
Dr. Jenny John is an assistant professor of counseling at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary—Hamilton.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She has over fifteen years of experience as an elementary school counselor and has been counseling in community mental health since 2006. She received her MA in Counseling and School Counseling from Eastern Mennonite University (Harrisonburg, VA) and her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA).

Dr. John’s clinical expertise includes counseling children and adolescents, addictions, domestic violence, and court-involved clients. Her research interests include faith integration in counselor professional identity development and the mental health needs of clergy families. She has served beside her husband since he entered ministry as an elder in the United Methodist Church over 20 years ago.
