Biography:
Dr. Reyes’ education includes a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) from Liberty University and an MDiv from Andrews University. His field of expertise focuses on clinical mental health counseling and helping graduate students integrate solid clinical practice with Christian theology. His research interests have been on the use of the Conceptual Mapping Task as a research and therapy tool, graduate students’ wellness and self-care practices, ethics, emotional intelligence and emotion regulation, and issues on self-compassion and empathy.

Dr. Reyes was born and raised in Cuba, lived in Canada, and now resides in Orlando, Florida. He is married to Damaris, and they have two beautiful daughters, Claudia and Daliana. Dr. Reyes holds a ministerial credential as an ordained pastor of the Adventist church. Currently, he works as a clinical chaplain at a faith-based institution and does private and community practice as a registered mental health counselor.
