Biography
Dr. Carol M. Kaminski has taught Old Testament and Hebrew language courses at the Boston and South Hamilton campuses of Gordon-Conwell since joining the seminary faculty in 2002. She is a member of the Institute for Biblical Research and the Society of Biblical Literature.

Dr. Kaminski’s research has focused on Genesis with two books pubished by T&T Clark, From Noah to Israel: Realization of the Primeaeval Blessing After the Flood (2004), and more recently, Was Noah Good? Finding Favour in the Flood Narrative (2014). She is currently writing a commentary on 1-2 Chronicles in Zondervan’s Story of God Series, and she is writing a revised version of Handbook of the Pentateuch (Baker Academic).

Dr. Kaminski is well-known for her Casket Empty Bible series. She is founder and director of Casket Empty Media, and the author of the Old Testament Casket Empty Timeline and companion Study Guide. She works closely with author and Gordon-Conwell New Testament Adjunct Professor, Dr. David Palmer, who has created and written the New Testament Casket Empty Timeline and companion Study Guide. The Casket Empty material has been translated into Korean (JOY Press), Chinese (Campus Evangelical Fellowship Press), Arabic (Call of Love Ministries), and Farsi (forthcoming, Persian Bible Institute). Dr Kaminski teaches the Old Testament at Casket Empty seminars, conferences and church retreats. She has a passion to help lay people understand the redemptive story of the Bible and to equip church leaders to teach the Bible. Her Casket Empty material has been used by teachers, missionaries and church leaders across the globe, and she is committed to providing Bible resources for the global church.

Originally from Australia, Dr. Kaminski holds an MA in Old Testament and an MA in Religion from Gordon-Conwell, and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Her research interests include exegesis and theology of Genesis, Old Testament covenants and the meta-narrative of the Old Testament.

She and her husband, Matthew Kaminski, are active members of First Congregational Church, Boxford and have two children, Robert and Ryan.
