Biography: Rev. Dr. Tae-Geun Song (송태근 교수) is the Senior Pastor of Samil Church in Seoul, South Korea, a position he has held since 2012. He also serves as the president of the Council of Pastors for Church Renewal, director of Chonghoe Educational Developmental Institute, and as a board member of Chongshin University. In addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. Dr. Song is an adjunct faculty member at Korean Bible University.

Rev. Dr. Song received his BA in Theology from Chonshin University in 1983 and completed his MDiv equivalent at Chongshin Theological Seminary in 1986. He later earned his DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California, in 2004.

Throughout his career, Rev. Dr. Song has held various teaching positions at institutions such as Chongshin Theological Seminary, Chongshin University, Seoul Lay Bible Institute, Hankook Woman’s Theological Seminary, and Seoul Theological College. He has taught courses in pastoral theology, inductive Bible study, and New Testament studies.

Rev. Dr. Song’s ministry experience spans over four decades. Prior to his current role at Samil Church, he served as the senior pastor of Kangnam Church in Seoul from 1994–2012 and as the senior pastor of Los Angeles Korean Chapel from 1992–1994. He has also served as an associate and assistant pastor at several churches in Seoul.

As an author, Rev. Dr. Song has published numerous books on prayer, Christian life, and biblical studies. Some of his notable works include Prayer School (2023), The Ten Commandments from Jesus (2020), and What is Church? (2017). He has also presented at conferences on topics such as evangelical hermeneutics, preaching, and the future of Christian education.

Ordained by the General Assembly of Presbyterian Church in Korea in 1986, Rev. Dr. Tae-Geun Song continues to be an influential figure in the Korean Christian community, dedicating his life to pastoral ministry, theological education, and spiritual guidance.
