Join us for an in-person discussion with Dr. Sebastian Vaduva, the Mockler Center’s newest fellow and a professor at Emanuel University in Oradea, Romania.
Dr. Vaduva will discuss his new book, Success and Its Shadows: The Hidden Temptation Behind Every Strength and the Character That Keeps You Whole, exploring the physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual challenges that can accompany success in the public square. Dr. Karen Mason, professor of Counseling and Psychology at Gordon-Conwell, will offer a response.
Registration by October 14 is required for in-person attendance with lunch.
Presenters
Dr. Sebastian Vaduva is director of the Griffiths School of Management and IT at Emanuel University of Oradea, Romania. An entrepreneur, educator, and author, he has been involved in more than twenty-five startups and has written or co-authored fifteen books. His work focuses on entrepreneurship, management, ethics, and Christian engagement in business and public life.
Dr. Karen Mason is professor of Counseling and Psychology at Gordon-Conwell. A licensed psychologist and professional counselor, she has worked in the mental health field since 1990. Her research focuses on the role of clergy and faith communities in suicide prevention. She holds graduate degrees in Old Testament and counseling psychology and maintains a private practice.
