Dr. Johnson Shares Global Church Updates on CBN News
This week Dr. Todd Johnson appeared on Prayer Link with Charlene Aaron, a CBN News show. Dr. Johnson is Eva B. and Paul E. Toms Distinguished Professor of Mission and Global Christianity and co-director of the Center for the Study of Global Christianity (CSGC) at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
He shared about the CSGC’s founding and purpose, the ongoing shift of the Christian majority to the global South, the impact of missional revivals, and the need for Christian evangelism and discipleship to unreached people groups. He commented: “We’re a global faith. We’re a faith of all the peoples of the world. So, when revivals come, it goes out and impacts people everywhere, and that makes all of us beneficiaries when the Spirit moves.”
Dr. Johnson and Ms. Aaron then spent time in prayer for the global Church—for unity and cooperation, for strategic thinking to expand outreach, and for God’s anointing and Spirit over all our work.
