Dr. Mateus de Campos, Gordon-Conwell’s George F. Bennett Associate Professor of New Testament, released the latest publication in Hendrickson’s The Preacher’s Greek Companion series. His volume on Ephesians divides the epistle into thirteen thematic sections that guide pastors in the meditation of the Word and exposition in a way that is beneficial to those of all proficiency levels in biblical Greek.

As the publisher describes, the series is intended to deepen pastors’ understanding of Scripture through an exploration of the original language, strengthen their sermon preparation, and empower them to preach more effectively. Each volume includes lexical and grammatical tools as well as a selective commentary to supplement traditional commentaries.

In 2023, Mary French Rockefeller Distinguished Professor of New Testament, Dr. Sean McDonough (MDiv ’93, ThM ’94) authored the first volume in the series on the book of Philippians. Since then, Robinson Chair of Preaching and Communication, Dr. Jeffrey Arthurs co-authored the volume on James, and alumnus Stephen Witmer (MDiv & ThM ’03) authored the volume on Hebrews.
