Gordon-Conwell Introduces Dr. Mary Hulst as Summer Preaching Lecturer

Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and the Haddon W. Robinson Center for Preaching are pleased to introduce Dr. Mary Hulst as this summer’s Burnett H. and Dorothy F. Sams Visiting Professorship in Preaching. The professorship was established in 2002 to further the seminary’s commitment to train Christian leaders to preach relevantly and biblically. Dr. Hulst will teach Responding to Tragedy and Loss in Preaching and Worship live on the Hamilton campus during Summer III (July 31–August 4, 2023).

Dr. Hulst is the author of A Little Handbook for Preachers and presently serves as university pastor at Calvin University. Prior to her pastoral role at Calvin, she served as senior pastor of Eastern Avenue Christian Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, assistant professor of communication arts and science at Calvin, and assistant professor of homiletics at Calvin Theological Seminary.

Her course at Gordon-Conwell will provide pastors and church leaders with a theological framework and the foundational skills to respond to local and national crises through sermons and in worship services.

Registration closes on May 12. Space is limited, so register today!
