Gordon-Conwell Launches Ex Fonte, A New Print Magazine
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is excited to announce the launch of its new print magazine, Ex Fonte, a publication that seeks to go forth (ex fonte) from our singular source, Christ.
In a time when digital media floods the market, Ex Fonte is the strategic creation of a sacred space of repose and reflective engagement for readers. Another print magazine recently expressed the sentiment that “print is a refuge from the digital storm,” and Ex Fonte affirms this, inviting readers to become part of a larger, vibrant, and thoughtful community.
While Gordon-Conwell celebrates God’s powerful, gracious movements around the world as it equips Christian leaders for global Kingdom work, we are mindful of the fracturing occurring among varying Christian traditions. Ex Fonte further aims to be a unifying force within the context of these Christian divisions and inter-tribal disputes that have brought into high relief the breakdown of fellowship among many Christians. “There are matters that need to be talked about. Differing sides need to listen and be listened to. There are issues that require clarity of thought and these conversations ought to be able to be engaged in generosity of spirit. We believe it is possible to stand on the ground of conviction while extending a hand of goodwill,” says Wendy Murray, Gordon-Conwell alumna and Ex Fonte editor in chief.
The seminary invites all those interested in joining the conversation to subscribe for one year, which includes three issues in 2025. A subscription also makes a thoughtful gift for friends and family. We pray that Ex Fonte will contribute to the wider religious and cultural landscape, offering a meeting ground for collaboration and conversation under the ever-brightening sheen of God’s holy presence among us.
