The Africanus Journal is an award-winning interdisciplinary biblical, theological, and practical journal of the Campus for Urban Ministerial Education (CUME).

This edition (Vol. 15, No. 2 November 2023) includes several articles and book reviews that contextualize the Word of God for both the simple realities of daily life and the larger complexities of being a Christian in the modern, global Church.

Dr. Aída Besançon Spencer, senior professor of New Testament, opens the journal with her article “Jesus’s Vision of Holy Hospitality” and is followed with an article from Dr. John Jefferson Davis, senior professor of systematic theology and Christian ethics, as well as with book reviews from Donna Hailson (MDiv ’90) and Dr. William Spencer, distinguished adjunct professor of theology and the arts.
