Dr. Davis Shares New Article Exploring the Social Nature & Activity of the Trinity

As Senior Professor of Systematic Theology and Christian Ethics, Dr. John Jefferson Davis’s love for and reverence of the Trinity have been evident throughout his writings and teachings. His newest article for Calvin Theological Journal, “Defending the Social Trinity,” further explores the idea of perichoresis—that is, the relational nature and singular unity of the three Persons of the Trinity.

Dr. Davis says that in the article, he “presents some new arguments for the ‘social’ Trinity—the view that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are truly personal, being distinct but not separated centers of mind, emotion, and will—with important implications for church ministry, Christian relationships, and mission.”
