New Christianity Today Advent Devotional Features Gordon-Conwell Alumni and Faculty
The Gospel of Advent is the newest Advent devotional published by Christianity Today, and it features devotionals from two of our Gordon-Conwell family. This new resource was created to help Christians journey through the season with daily scriptural reflections, in addition to weekly ideas and activities for families and small groups.
Reflect on Isaiah 9:6-7 in a devotional by Dr. Matthew Kim (MDiv ’02), Gordon-Conwell Professor of Preaching and Practical Theology and author of numerous books including Preaching with Cultural Intelligence (2018 Preaching Magazine Book of the Year). On Christmas Day, begin your celebrations with a devotional on Luke 2:8-20 by Rachel Gilson (MDiv ’20), author of Born Again This Way: Coming Out, Coming to Faith, and What Comes Next (2021 Christian Book Award finalist).
