The Charlotte campus of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary will no longer offer our Theological ESL program, effective May 11, 2020. This decision has been made out of an abundance of care for those we serve as we continue an ongoing, institutional process of program review and restructure. At this time, we remain hopeful of program’s future and the ways in which it will continue to serve you, our international friends.
Beginning Summer 2020, all interested applicants must apply directly to a Certificate or master’s degree program. Non-native, English-speaking applicants will be required to submit a TOEFL score of 90 or better. International nonimmigrant applicants must submit the admissions application, including all supplemental documents, in English. Please provide translation for all documents that are not in English. Additionally, international students remain responsible for providing documentation of financial ability to live and study in the United States.
Any applicant who has completed previous study in higher education in an English-based program is encouraged to contact the Admissions Office directly regarding language proficiency requirements. Due to COVID-19, we are exploring alternative methods instead of TOEFL to measure English language proficiency. If you have any questions regarding admission requirements and programs of study at Gordon Conwell Charlotte, please visit Charlotte Admissions on our website or contact us directly at [email protected].
