Our office strives to keep the listings below as up to date as possible. All postings have a trained and approved mentor in place. Please note that while these postings reflect the desire of certain ministries and churches to have a seminarian work with them, ministry opportunities for GCTS students are not limited to this list.

POSITION: Christ the King Dorchester is looking for someone to be a Director of Children’s Ministries. Ideal candidate would be someone that have experienced the grace of Jesus Christ in their own life and responded in faith, have lifestyle and character aligned with biblical standards for leadership (1 Tim. 3; 2 Tim 2; Titus 1), and be willing to make CTK Dorchester their church home by becoming a communing member. A student will have opportunity to build caring relationships with children and families in our church and neighborhood, oversee weekly Sunday children’s programs, recruit, train, and develop adult and teen volunteers to teach and assist in Sunday classes, communicate with children and parents, help design a discipleship and teaching program, and teach and model the centrality of the gospel and repentance in a life of faith to our youngest members.
HOURS: 10 hours per week.
FINANCIAL: ­$12,000/yr
TIME FRAME: Starting September 2026.
TRAVEL TIME: 45-minute drive from GCTS.
OTHER: We are a vibrant, diverse, and distinctly neighborhood-based church (average Sunday attendance of 80-100) in Boston’s largest and most racially, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse neighborhood. You will have opportunities for cross-cultural discipleship, evangelism, and outreach. We can support in exploring future ministry opportunities in PCA.

DENOMINATION: Non-denominational
POSITION: We are looking for confident and teachable self-starters to serve on one of our campuses as a Staff Associate. The Associates will work alongside the Campus Pastor and/or specific directors/pastors of the ministry area where they wish to serve. S/he will assist in programming, training and retreats, teaching, contact work, building relationships with congregants, youth, and children. The position and responsibilities will vary according to the learning interests of the mentored ministry student. Supervision meetings will be with the Pastor of Central Ministries.
HOURS: 10 – 12 hours per week, negotiable.
FINANCES: Currently these associate positions are unpaid. Ministry expenses will be covered.
TIME: Academic year (NOTE: Full-time 10-week summer internships also available)
TRAVEL TIME from GCTS:

POSITION: We hope to be blessed by a GCTS student and also to be a blessing. We are looking for a student who loves the Lord and loves children to serve in our children’s ministry. Pastor Steven has been serving children’s ministry for 30 years, and hopes to share his experience with a younger, eager minister. Our church uses Awana, has a yearly VBS, a Fall Harvest program, retreats, etc. We do our best to provide regular training and encouragement to both children’s ministry coworkers and parents.
HOURS: 10 (possibly more)
FINANCIAL: At least $300/month, up to $1,000 based on need
TIME FRAME: Flexible
TRAVEL TIME: 30-40 minutes
OTHER: We are a diverse congregation of 1,200, serving overseas born and American born Chinese and Taiwanese. Multiple cultures and languages are present within our congregation. We have approximately 200 children (nursery to 5th grade). Ministry is in English to children, but Mandarin speaking is a plus.
